Things to Come, Seriously

One of the things common among Weblog owners around the world is that sooner or later (and often many times) they start an article with “I know I’ve been remiss lately,” or “sorry for the lack of posts,” or something similar. Everyone does it sooner or later, and this is probably twice or thrice for me.

Jumping past that, I just wanted to touch base and give a heads-up of things to come.

First, the business side of things: It is not my intention to write about technical things here at TCT, but there are some things I will be writing about that will be of use to family members who would like to enhance their Web experience, or to simply enjoy my site better. In fact, I will soon be publishing a little how-to article that explains how to take advantage of Web syndication so that you are informed easier of when I post new articles. I have already posted a similar article for Wion Design, if you care to look it over there: How to Read the Live Journal Feed, but I will be reproducing that article, in simpler terms, for purposes here. (Though if you read that article, and understand it, you can certainly apply the methods right now here at TCT.)

Note: The how-to article I speak of has since been written and published, see Get My Articles Quick and Read Them Easy.

Second, it has now been nearly nine, full months since Hanane and I were married, and I have yet to do two things: give a detailed account of the wedding, and get our photo albums put together in the Gallery area. Being that this wedding was not your boring ol’ church wedding, I think you will find it to be quite an interesting read, and the pictures…well, they are something to say the least. The Moroccans know how to do a wedding, bien sûr!

Speaking of the Gallery, there will be more than just wedding pictures available there. It will be a growing repository of various photo albums that I’m slowly putting together. I know many of you would like more details about things going on here with me in France; the photos will be a big plus for sharing such things. They are coming, I assure you.

Anyway, those will be my first priority activities, but mainly I just want to be writing here more in general. I will also be implementing Comments in my articles more often, and I hope you will be daring enough to post a comment now and then and let me know what you think.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Hanane has expressed interest in posting some articles too, so I’ve been considering how to handle that as well. It might just be some guest authoring at first, but if she takes to it, then I’ll probably restructure things a bit to give her more of a permanent spot here, or maybe she might like to have her own Weblog altogether where she can write French articles too. We’ll see how it works out, but stay tuned, you might see something from her, if she’s got the nerve.
